“L&E is probably my favorite out of the new sets. I already started playing with it on the wedding I shot last week, with a variety of lighting situations (indoor moody natural light, outdoor green forest at full sun, sunset in dim light, and OCF) and it works well across the board.
The moodiness really works here in a way that doesn't make me feel like I'm losing a lot of color - it's "dark" without being dark - and I think will straddle the line for folks who want to lean into moody but still like color. The five presets that are color give you a good mix with toning, and I think someone looking for a go-to set will find they can do a lot with this single pack. Having the toolset amps that up even more - I love the idea of dynamic mixes that are already put together, and then also having the individual tool breakdowns. I think seeing the options for grain, saturation, etc on their own will help people who are newer to LR be able to edit without hunting for a setting to say turn off grain.
The black and white is beautiful - I love that its not overly crushed in the blacks but still feels richer and "emotive" with the moodiness. I think this would be a fairly often used black and white for me.
One of my favorite things about this set is that it separates the background from the subject on each preset allowing the subject to still pop while muting the background just a bit. Working that AI in is nice - (with a caveat I'll mention on the next question)
Overall - this set would definitely work its way into my top go-tos. Since Asteria is kind of my "always" set, this is a really nice alternatives that have some perks that Asteria doesn't, and the five different bases actually feel more balanced. Really nice work on this set.”

“I love the richness and the mood that this set gives. I tested it on a moody outdoor session and a moody studio session and I love them. The matching toolset is also very good and works well with the base set. I also tested the set on lighter images natural light indoor and natural light beach, and it give more of a muted colour tone and a softer feel. The toolset helps to make the colours pop more on the lighter images.”

“Okay wow! I don't even know where to start. These presets are gorgeous. I don't know what I was expecting but I could see these easily becoming a favorite and a "go-to" set. Ive tested them on weddings, children, families, boudoir, and it looks amazing on everything with one click! Something that I noticed is the range in tones with the light&ember presets. There's a little bit of everything for everyone. I loved the more true color, then the warm, then the magenta and green toned preset... even the b&w, which I usually am very picky about! As I was scrolling through my mouth was wide open in awe. I could see myself having a hard time choosing one to apply I truly did love them all on everything. I was having so much fun with the presets being one click for the majority of my work, that half of the time I forgot about the toolset. Which is also A+ incredible. The only real complaint I could see some people having is the background being a little dark, that's not a problem for me though because I darken my backgrounds anyway. L&E 04 is my favorite out of the bunch, almost reminds me of Exfilm. Wonderful job on this set, y'all just keep getting better and better!”

Overall I particularly like this set, I do need to make some simple tweaks for skin tones especially for indoor images, turning the clarity slider up is not a hardship but is something I need to remember to do each time for my use case. The Dynamic tools are not for me as it feels more fiddly to tweak them from the layer panel as opposed to making my own recipe with the provided singular tools.
I was able to easily achieve a look I wanted from this set and I really enjoyed using it to the extent that it may well become a staple in my work going forward.”

“I really like how the basic color profiles have the different hues in each of the shadows and I think the mood and drama are the perfect addition for the pack itself. The profiles render indoor and outdoor (shaded and full sun) beautifully-any of the things I would potentially adjust I love there are in the toolset directly below to work with and pair with. I think the is a strong set for a moody photographer! So far I love this on my coastal sets, my forest settings, my weddings and my landscapes.”
