“This set is immediately a favorite as someone who just jumped into the film world last year. The color profiles are spot on and the toolset is a phenomenal addition to really get those film quirks. Love the ISO names-so fun! I've used this set over a variety of settings and it's so spot on-I even compared it to some of my actual film photos that were printed and it's like looking through the viewfinder. Such a game changer for situations where I can't bring film.”

“The Light & Legacy preset is a bright and vibrant pack with tools that can expand into a so much with creativity. I first tested this set on a couple session at golden hour that turned into a sunset session really quick. The tools like sky recover and pastel pink really helped bring my photo to life. I tested this preset pack on a few different sessions and every type of shoot I tested it on I really liked it the outcome. The tools like subject shadow, background shadow and background diffusion is amazing its like something I've been missing and didn't even know.”

“ I love the true to color film vibe, L&L 01 is a dream for getting rid of those neon greens/yellows but still making it look natural. L&L 02 is great because it brings back a little color in the skin tones. I did notice that I leaned more towards those 2 when trying these presets on different lighting conditions. I was really impressed with the way they diffused harsh midday light. I found that the black and white preset can truly be a 1 click preset in good lighting conditions. (Can't wait to share those edits once it's released) Tools: Blackburn is great for bringing back a little contrast which I enjoyed because I tend to edit more that way Sky Recover is a great counterpart to the "dark and moody sky" in the fable Presets if you are wanting a more subtle look, I used it on a wedding from cancun where it wasn't quite sunset and it brought back just enough detail/color to still look natural and not overdone but if course can still be adjusted to your liking The background/subject shadow masking is genius, I usually do this in photoshop so having it in LRc will really cut down some edit time for me. All of the film tools are unique and do a great job at emulating color/grain. Overall I enjoyed using these presets”

“Item descriptiLight & Legacy was fun to test since I started working hybrid in 2024. I'm definitely newer to film, but have been working on trying to make my film and digital work cohesive, so I was pretty stoked to see there was a film emulation set in the new packs you're releasing.

I liked seeing that there were different inspirations happening - I specifically tried this on a session I had shot in both digital and Kodak Gold 200 - and L&L 04 and 05 definitely lent themselves towards creating a cohesive vibe with the film scans I had (although the greens from 01 and 02 are incredible). Especially in the way it handled the blues of the sky. The saturation depth in the toolset was a nice add on, as some of my brighter mid-day full sun photos felt a little washed out with a one click, and adding that helps bring it back. I also like the Black Burn on even light images - and softer backlit ones for a little extra oomph.

The black and white here is really accurate to some of the black and whites I've been trying out for film - and I would 100% incorporate this on my hybrid sessions and weddings to help bridge the film to digital gap.

The way the profiles work is really nice - especially on that black and white, and mentioning that in the description was super helpful to know what I was looking for. I do love what it does on the color profile as well, especially on backlit greenery.

Overall, I think this set feels nice and is going to be popular for the hybrid crowd, or those who want their work to feel filmy without investing in film.”
